The English Classroom

A HELPFUL GUIDE FOR PRESERVICE AND GRADUATE TEACHERS

Dreams occupy landscape

Of synaptic tumble

A slipstream of thoughts

Through the hours

Fragments of soft petals

Dripping from stem

Pockets of wind through canals

Wielding trepidation

And dreams become nightmares

The cuckoo cuckoo scream

Black crows awaken day

And fracture delusion

Until all that remains is an

Elephant’s head in a jar
